Hello, my name is Alejandro Vega and I was born in Cuba. I come from a family of engineers and architects, so in staying with the family tradition, I received an Industrial Design degree in 2001, from the Higher Institute of Industrial Design in Havana City. However, after graduation I felt like something was missing. Quickly, I began to realize that I wanted to be a graphic designer. This led me to Grafos, an Ad agency in Havana, Cuba where I worked as a Graphic and Interior Designer for three years. Seeking new opportunities I moved to the US in 2004, and began working as an Art Director for Mercury Mambo, a Hispanic ad agency in Austin, TX. Some of the clients I worked for included Dr Pepper, 7UP, and US Cellular. I also work as a freelance designer, with clients like the Austin Police Department, TradeMark Media, Everything to Everybody, PSI Max, among others.
